Food Safety Attendees learned from food safety experts at WaWa and Jersey Mike’s on how to protect their businesses in light of recent industry recalls, such as the Boar’s Head meats and poultry incident.

Grant Opportunities Participants discovered how to access grant funding to support their processing efforts. A panel led by New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture Ed Wengren guided them through available resources.

Closing Session Fireside Chat Hosted by New Jersey Food Council President Linda Doherty, this session featured Darren Caudill, Chief Sales Officer at Wakefern Food Corp. Topics included securing shelf space, evolving consumer preferences, and innovative marketing strategies.
